![]() Find your calculator on the Device Manager list, usually under LibUSB devices 4. I could hear the familiar “ta duh” sound of connecting a USB device, but it made no second attempt to grab the driver, even after a reboot. If you are an early adopter and find yourself in this situation, here’s what worked for me.įrom the Start Menu search “Administrative Tools”.Īfter choosing Administrative Tools, select “Computer Management”.įind “Device Manager.” Scroll down to “Universal Serial Bus controller.” Hopefully, you will see “TI Graphing Calculator.” Right click and select “Update Driver Software” and choose the automatic search for drivers. Plug your calculator into a usb port that you know youve plugged it into before. FYI, I think the cable it comes with is USB/USB B, but Im not 100 sure. The fact that the calculator doesn't show up at all in your device list indicates that this is probably not the issue, but you won't be able to transfer Apps to the TI-84+CE with TI Connect. If nothing still happens after 5 seconds then there could be something seriously wrong with the calculators. Be sure you keep holding down 2nd and del even after you press the reset button. Unfortunately, the CE driver installation failed, and Windows 7 wouldn’t give me another chance. (1,410 points) 8:09 PM in response to iCaitlin. Sounds like you may not be using TI-Connect CE which is different from TI-Connect. I do know that my CE review unit was recognized prior to the new Connect, and when I installed the new software, I had to reinstall drivers for my TI-84 Plus C and Plus CE. But not sure if it supports CXs as the software hasnt been updated in over a year. Also something that Im not sure might be possible is using the TI-nspire Computer Link Software. Sometimes the calc needs a reboot and to be connected to the pc and turned on before you open TiLP. I’m not sure if this a fluke, specific to my PC, something to do with the new Connect, or if there is some other explanation. It doesnt sound like good news with no devices found. My Windows 7 machine wouldn’t recognize my TI-84 Plus CE. Upon installing TI-Connect and connecting my calculator (s) to the computer, I receive no indication that my calculator is seen by the application. However, I ran into a speed bump when I got started. The most common cause of a transfer being interrupted is updating theoperating system on a calculator with low batteries. It’s faster, the UI is much easier to work with, and one could easily program from within it. I took the new TI-Connect for a spin tonight, and it is a big improvement over the old version.
